The line’s shampoo contains violet pigment. Yellow’s complementary colour is violet, which neutralizes each other. When you want to keep blonde or grey hair clean or cool-toned, neutralize the yellow tones with violet pigment.

Hair color is formed from two primary pigments: eumelanin, which is a black-brown pigment, and pheomelanin, which is a red-yellow pigment.
When hair is lightened, lightening agents oxidize and break down the melanin pigments in the hair. The sun’s UV radiation also breaks down melanin in the hair, just like the chemical lightening process. Eumelanin usually breaks down more easily and quickly than pheomelanin, which is why hair turns orange first and eventually yellow during the lightening process.

How to use
